April 2009 Penguin Readers' Noticeboard
Penguin authors are out and about this Spring appearing at a variety of Festivals.

The Penguin & Orange Readers' Group Prize has changed
This year, we've opening up the field to our bookish teenagers and of course all of our regular Readers. You don't have to be a teenager to enter, you just have to be over 16 and love to talk about books. Entries are via our Spinebreakers website, so take a look and tell us about yourselves, the books you love and why 'you have to read this'!
We want to know a short history of everything; who you are, what you do, when you started, where you meet, how you stimulate discussion, how many people you are talking to and why you love to talk about books. You might have started a group on Facebook, run a book group in your college or maintain a bookish blog – whatever it is that you do to get people talking about reading, we want to know.
You can vote for your favourite Reading Group Book of the year too by clicking through here.

Penguin World War 2 Promotion in Libraries
Reading Groups across the country are currently choosing six books to recommend to other readers in Penguin’s War Promotion in Libraries. The list includes Evelyn Waugh, Primo Levi, Penelope Lively and HE Bates. The groups have been asked to choose books that best represent what it was like to live through World War Two, which began 70 years ago this year. The list will be announced at the end of March.
